The knowledge of the diameter structure of a forest is very important for the characterization of their stage of development and decision-making on forest management. Thus, this study aimed to identify this structure and the fitting evaluation of the probability density function (FDP) to the diameter frequency distribution of tree individuals in Iguaçu National Park (PNI) in three measurement periods (2011, 2013 and 2015). The data used came from a network of permanent plots, with 21 plots (20 x 100 m) totaling a sample area of 42.000 m², distributed along the altitudinal gradient on the PNI, in which all trees with DBH equal to or greater than 5 cm were measured.
